ZB Critique is the editorial notebook of Lu and Cami — no-nonsense critiques about what's worth your time (and what isn't).

Lu

Lu writes the more opinionated half of the pair. He usually complains first and backs it up later. When a score drops to a three, he's generally the one to blame.

Cami

Cami is the analytical half of ZB. She revisits scores after sleeping on them and tends to be more generous than Lu. When a score climbs to a five, she's the one who held the line.

Why ZB

There's a lot of food and travel criticism out there that mistakes flattery for hospitality. ZB Critique starts from the opposite premise: we pay our own way, show up, write it down, and the score is what it is. No comped visits, no sponsored categories, no "let's keep this between us." What's here is what we'd tell a friend — with the bonus that you're free to disagree out loud.
